Abi is a wonderful and sweet girl. She lives with a Greyhound called Frida and their owners Emma and Magnus. She really seems to enjoy life but didn’t like to be on the dogshow in Sundsvall when she was about 10 months. A lot of things can be scary when they are in that age. She is very flexible and quick as a weasel. I hope that she will become mother of one of our litters in the future.
The Hebrew name ”Avigail” means ”love”, ”happiness”. I chosed the name from Abigail, who was married to King David in the Old Testament. She was a very wise and beautiful woman.
Avigail was from the beginning married to another man; Nabal, who was rich. David asked Nabal if he could get some food, but Avigail’s husband didn’t want to help him. Nabal was also being rude even though David and his warriors had protected him and his family from robbers. A servant told Avigail what had happened, and she defied her husband and gave gifts and food to King David. Ten days later, the man suddenly died, and Avigail became the wife of King David.
Abi’s name is Avigail bat Shivá. Bat Shivá means “daughter of seven days” (God created the world during seven days).
